Aluminized Hoods Series 647 from Chicago Protective Apparel. These aluminized hoods provide complete head and shoulder coverage. 4-1⁄2" x 5-1⁄4" window. Comes standard with Pyrex® glass and a polycarbonate inner plate. They are available in different types of fabric such as: 15 oz. Aluminized Rayon, 19 oz. Aluminized Rayon Heavy, 19 oz. Aluminized Kevlar® Blend, 17 oz. Aluminized Carbon Kevlar®, 7 oz. Aluminized PBI®. Approach to within a few yards of flames and radiant heat up to 2000°F.
These hoods are constructed around a hard shell which provides both structure and a head ratchet. Windows are replaceable and positioned far enough away from the face to allow room to wear safety glasses or a face mask underneath. Air fed supplies can be fitted into the hoods. Hard hat or cap clips can be installed, please specify.
